  1. Menus:

  3. Each of the two different QuickNote windows will have several menus near the top of the window.

  6. The menus are as follows:

  8. File (when entering a new note):
  9.  
  10. New Category窶ｦ
  11.     This option allows you to create a new Category.
  12.  
  13. Page Setup窶ｦ
  14.     The standard dialog for printer options.
  15.  
  16. Print窶ｦ
  17.     Print the text of the current note.  If you have background printing on, any printed notes will print after you Quit QuickNote.

  19. Quit
  20.     This option will save the note you have just created into the selected category (the popup menu on the bottom of the window).

  24. File (when using Get/Edit Note):

  26. New Category窶ｦ
  27.     This option allows you to create a new Category.

  29. New Note窶ｦ
  30.     Create a new note in the current Category.
  31.  
  32. Revert
  33.     This option will revert the note you are editing to the way it was when you first started editing it.

  35. Move Note To
  36.     Move the current note to another category with this option.
  37.  
  38. Rename Note窶ｦ
  39.     Rename the current note.

  41. Delete Note窶ｦ
  42.     Delete the current note (which will actually place the note file in the trash can).

  44. Page Setup窶ｦ
  45.     The standard dialog for printer options.

  47. Print窶ｦ
  48.     Print the text of the current note.

  50. Copy Selection and Paste Into App
  51.     This option will copy the text selected into the clipboard, quitting QuickNote and will automatically paste into whatever document you are currently in (as long as the application will accept a text paste).

  53. Copy All Text and Paste Into App
  54.     This option will select all text of the current note and copy the text selected into the clipboard, quitting QuickNote and will automatically paste into whatever document you are currently in (as long as the application will accept a text paste).

  56. Quit
  57.     This option will save the note you have just created into the selected category (the popup menu on the bottom of the window).

  61. Edit:

  63. Undo
  64.     Will undo the last text change made.
  65.  
  66. Cut
  67.     Will cut the selected text to the clipboard.
  68. Copy
  69.     Will copy the selected text to the clipboard.
  70. Paste
  71.     Will paste any text on the clipboard into the current note.
  72. Clear
  73.     Will delete the selected text.

  75. Select All
  76.     Will select all the text in the current note.
  77. Insert Date
  78.     Will insert the date into the current note.
  79. Insert Time
  80.     Will insert the time into the current note.

  82. Find
  83.     Search for text in any note (starting from the current item). You can also define a replacement string.
  84. Enter Selection
  85.     Will enter the text selected as the Find text.
  86. Find Again
  87.     Search for next occurrence of the last text searched for.
  88. Replace
  89.     Replace the selected text with the string defined in the Find Dialog.
  90. Replace & Find Again
  91.     Replace the selected text with the string defined in the Find Dialog and search for next occurrence of the last text searched for.
  92. Replace All
  93.     Will replace any text defined in the Find Dialog with the replace text also defined in the Find Dialog (for the current note only).  This option is not undoable, please be careful!

  95. Previous Category
  96.     If you have more than one category, you can move to the previous one.
  97. Next Category
  98.     If you have more than one category, you can move to the next one.

  101. Plugins:

  103. Plugins are external files (kept in the QuickNote Plugins folder which should be in the System Folder) which do certain operations on selected text.  As more plugins are created for QuickNote, you just add them to your QuickNote Plugins folder to add more functionality to QuickNote.  There are several plugins that should have come with QuickNote, see the PlugIns chapter for more information.
